American YouTube sensation IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., has taken Kenya by storm as part of his epic “Speed Does Africa” tour.
The high-energy streamer’s visit culminated in a action-packed live stream today, featuring daring rally car drifts and a helicopter adventure that captivated millions worldwide.
However, the day was not without its challenges, as one of his key production team members, Slipz (also known as Slippy), revealed a serious injury sustained while executing the broadcast.
In a heartfelt message shared with fans, Slipz detailed the ordeal: “Hey Speed gang. Lil update from Slippy, I sustained a pretty bad nerve/disc injury while pushing myself very hard to execute the rally car and helicopter segment of today’s stream from my production side, which ultimately went very well and the team & myself are very proud of how we pulled it off.”
He continued, assuring supporters of his commitment despite the setback: “You may not see me much tomorrow or the next day but I assure you I am still around and working to execute all of speeds livestreams just as I would if I was at 100%. I’m just a lil handicapped physically temporarily. The goal is to show the world. Nothing stops us. Passed out, threw up from dehydration & shock from the pain and lost all feeling in my left leg… but still got that shit done See you soon.”
Slipz’s dedication highlights the behind-the-scenes intensity of IShowSpeed’s productions, where the team pushes boundaries to deliver unforgettable content.
Fans have flooded social media with messages of support, praising his resilience and the crew’s unbreakable spirit.
