Kisii School grounds played host to the annual Mkisii Fest (also known as Mkisii ni Mkisii Crossover), a vibrant celebration organized by renowned comedians and producers Victor Nyaata and Cyprian Osoro.

This end-of-year event has become a staple for the Gusii community, blending music, culture, and high-energy performances to usher in the new year with style.

By 7 PM, the venue was nearly packed to capacity, with enthusiastic crowds spilling over and causing notable traffic jams along the Kisii-Keroka road.

Attendees turned out in massive numbers, creating an electric atmosphere that lasted well into the early hours of 2026.

The lineup featured a mix of talented artists, but a few standout performances truly stole the show:Rising star Sparrow Ontondi set the crowd ablaze with his appearance. He delivered electrifying renditions of his popular tracks “Ensune” (often stylized as “Esune”) and “Omoyo” (featuring Omoisi BwOkioma), sending fans into a frenzy.

Another emerging favorite, Yazeed Classic, charged up the audience with his hit “Omogoko”. The entire crowd sang along word-for-word, showering the young artist with support, encouragement, and motivation to drop even more bangers in the coming year.

Veterans like Sagero, Kwasa Kwasa, and Otiso brought nostalgia to the stage, charging the crowd with classic vibes that had everyone reminiscing about the good old days.

Adding to the hype was the day’s MC, MC Don Nyachio, who absolutely owned the event. His energetic hosting kept the momentum going, making the crowd dance, jump, and sing throughout the night.

Behind the decks, DJ Aimo (of the Emamba edition) kept the beats flowing seamlessly, ensuring non-stop vibes from start to finish.

Mkisii Fest 2025 crossover was a massive success,a perfect blend of rising talents, timeless hits, and community spirit that made crossing into 2026 truly epic.
