Masige West MCA Jacob Bagaka has condemned the stoning of the Linda Mwananchi group motorcade in Keumbu and the death of supporter Vincent Mochoge Osiemo, popularly known as Mapenduzi.
Speaking after visiting the deceased’s family in Gionseri, Bagaka described Mapenduzi as a close friend who had supported him for many years and attended almost all his public events.
He expressed his condolences to the family and prayed for the deceased’s soul to rest in peace.
Bagaka urged political leaders to put humanity first and ensure that security personnel do not allow individuals to hang onto moving vehicles, saying such practices endanger lives.
He questioned the circumstances surrounding Mapenduzi’s death, alleging that after he fell from a vehicle, he was assaulted instead of being assisted and rushed to hospital.
The MCA said the deceased’s family and the community are demanding justice, adding that security agencies should explain the events that led to the incident and ensure those responsible are held accountable.
