The National Restoration Movement (NRM),linked to GEN Z has been unveiled ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Party leaders say NRM was born directly from the streets and the pain of last year’s Gen Z protests.
Its official launch is scheduled for June 24, 2026, a date chosen to honour the young Kenyans who lost their lives during those demonstrations.
Speaking at the unveiling, NRM Chairman Rogers Onyancha Gattuso declared that the party is ready to give power back to the youth.
“We are issuing free party tickets for all elective seats from MCA right up to the presidency,” Gattuso said.
“We want to remove the money barriers that have kept young, talented Kenyans out of politics for too long.”
Those wishing to contest or hold any position in the party, however, will pay a facilitation and registration fee of KSh 500.
Gattuso was clear that NRM will not join either the government or the opposition side.
“We are completely independent. We are offering Kenyans a new alternative not another version of the old politics,” he stressed.
The party says its full manifesto and ideology will be unveiled on June 24 during the official launch, where it expects massive youth turnout.
